The All-Stars were selected based on a combination of weighted Atlantic League ballots from league officials, team general managers, team field managers, and the media, as well as on-line voting by fans from June 1st through July 3rd. There were close to 200,000 votes cast on-line over the month of voting.

Seven Somerset Patriots, six Newark Bears, five Lancaster Barnstormers, and four York Revolution make up the Freedom Division. Larson led the division in Atlantic League weighted ballots, receiving 100% of the third base votes. Cahill led all on-line voting by fans held from June 1st through July 3rd.

Seven Bridgeport Bluefish, six Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, five Camden Riversharks, and four Long Island Ducks make up the Liberty Division. Navarrete appeared on 100% of Atlantic League weighted ballots.

The 2008 Atlantic League All-Star Game will pit the very best players in the Freedom and Liberty Divisions against each other in the traditional exhibition game the day after the Major League All-Star Game.

The Atlantic League All-Star Game will include special VIP guests and several pre-game festivities including the Home Run Derby, an autograph session with all the All-Star players and coaches, live music, and many other activities.

The All-Star Game will include giveaways for fans and entertainment from The ZOOperstars, BirdZerk, and a Post Game Fireworks Show unlike any seen in Central New Jersey.
